What is Pipe Lining?

Pipe lining, also known as epoxy pipe lining, or cured-in place pipe (CIPP lining), is a minimally invasive trenchless sewer repair where a brand new pipe is created directly inside your existing pipe with little to no digging. It is a fast and cost effective pipe repair method.

The Benefits of Pipe Lining

There are numerous benefits to pipe lining compared to excavations when replacing or repairing sewer lines.

1. The environmental impact: Traditional pipe replacements require disruptive excavations which will disrupt the yard. Pipe lining on the other hand, is a trenchless method requiring little to no digging naturally preserving your landscaping.

2. The length of replacement: Excavations mostly extend to the sidewalk only. The risk of hitting utility lines under the sidewalk plus the significant costs of digging under the road, result in excavations being too short and only partially effective. In contrast, pipe lining is installed within the existing pipe, so it easily extends under the sidewalk and reaches within a couple of feet from the public sewer in the middle of the road.

3. Eliminating openings for root intrusion. Since roots typically invade through cracks or joints, installing sections of PVC pipes & fittings still pose a risk for future root intrusions. Pipe lining on the other hand, is a SINGLE seamless line, sealing all holes and blocking roots from entering.

4. Throwing Good money After Bad. If you could physically examine the condition of your sewer pipe, you would not sink another penny to unclog it again. Since it’s buried in the ground, you can’t inspect it and see the damage that is hidden by roots. Paying for more drain cleaning simply means poking more holes in aggressive balls of roots.

5. Prevent further deterioration. Every time a power tool is operated to unclog a 50+ year old sewer pipe, it weakens the pipe’s structural integrity and will eventually deteriorate it beyond repair. If the pipe has lost its shape or certain sections have collapsed, an excavation may be the only remaining solution to rehabilitate the pipe.

6.  Other benefits of pipe lining:  Eliminating future maintenance costs, Extending the property’s drainage life by 20-40 years without an excavation, Increasing the home’s sales price by the cost of the lining, and lastly, our 10 year warranty is transferrable to any new owner.

If you’re experiencing repeated clogs in your sewer line, we strongly recommend that you contact us for a camera inspection. Not all drain pipes can be revived using the pipe lining technique – so it is important that we first inspect the pipe and analyze its condition. Only after a visual inspection, we can determine the best course of action to fix this drainage problem.

Why Trenchless Sewer Repair Is Good For Your Home

Choosing trenchless sewer repair is a smart choice for any homeowner or business. Instead of tearing up your yard, driveway, or landscaping, this modern method only needs one or two small access points to fix your pipes. This means your property stays intact, and you avoid the huge mess and extra costs of restoring your lawn and pavement.

Not only is the trenchless sewer repair cleaner and faster, it’s also a long-term investment in your plumbing. We use durable materials like epoxy resin to create a new, stronger pipe right inside the old one. This “pipe within a pipe” is more resistant to common issues like leaks and tree roots, which can save you from future repairs and headaches. You’ll get back to your normal routine much faster, all while enjoying a more durable and eco-friendly plumbing solution. It’s an efficient way to protect your property and your wallet.

We strongly believe in the merits of pipe lining and we hope that this method would renew your existing pipes and relieve you from ever experiencing the misery of sewer backups.
